LAGRANGE -- Mrs. Sarah Sykes, 102, 208 E. Boundary, LaGrange, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
Fun-eral services for Ms. Sykes will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at St. Mary Free Will Baptist Church in the Jason community, with Elder Antonio Blow officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange.
Ms. Sykes is survived by two sons, Mr. Ennis A. Sykes and Mr. Dennis Sykes, both of LaGrange; two daughters, Mrs. Emma S. Phillips of Chesapeake, Va., and Mrs. Alice Lampley of East Orange, N.J.; seven grandchilden; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Mary Free Will Baptist Church in LaGrange.
Arrangements are being handled by LaGrange Funeral Services.
