MARIE PIKE PEELE

PIKEVILLE -- Marie Pike Peele, 77, 5453 Wayne Memorial Drive, passed away Monday evening, July 9, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Smith Family Cemetery by her house.
Mrs. Peele was born in Wayne County April 25, 1935, to the late Nathan and Ethel Futrell Pike.
She was a member of Pikeville First Baptist Church, where she served as treasure.
She was an accountant for many years.
Mrs. Peele is survived by her loving son, Jeffrey Peele and wife, Betty, of Pikeville; two brothers, Cedric Pike of Richmond, Va., and Garland Pike of Pikeville; two sisters, Gail Sasser and husband, L.G., of Pikeville and Alma Ellis and husband, Charles, of Wilson; two grandchildren, Megan Beasley and husband, Scott, and Candice Peele; one great-grandchild on the way next month, Jake; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Collin Beasley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Peele.
