James Edward Kennon, 81, 721 Luther Drive, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Church of God and True Holiness Church. Interment will follow.
He was born Aug. 1, 1930, to the late Clayton Kenan and Emma Kennon Kenan. He was married to Willie Mae Kennon.
He is survived by six children.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Church of God and True Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends at the residence, where it will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
