JOSEPH MARSHALL STROUD

Retired Air Force Master Sgt. Joseph Marshall Stroud, 72, passed away Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Joseph was born in Lenoir County Oct. 26, 1939, to the late Odell and Helen Phillips Stroud.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of master sergeant.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 15, 2012, at noon at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville with full military honors.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Beverly Stroud; his children, Michelle Stroud of Goldsboro and Marsha S. Sullivan and husband, Sean, of Mount Olive; his grandchildren, Joey Lohr, Skyler Lohr and Ashley, Shayne Sullivan, Shelby Sullivan, Will Norris, Shoal Sullivan and Max Norris; his great-granddaughter, Rosalyn Lohr; brother, Lee Stroud of LaGrange; and sister Elaine Bean of Miami, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Galen Stroud, and sister, Frances Hulme.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at his home.
