GRACE HELMS FOLGER

FRANKLIN -- Grace Helms Folger, 97, Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012.
Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Luther Helms and Carrie Roseman Helms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Folger, and a daughter, Roberta Lee Nieuwenhuis.
She retired after 67 years from Weils Co., where she worked as a bookkeeper.
Grace was a charter member of both Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Franklin and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Goldsboro and a member of the North Carolina Women's Business Association, where she was former vice president.
She enjoyed crocheting, singing and long road trips. She spent many hours making lap blankets for the elderly.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Marc Bonkoski of Colorado, Rusty Bonkoski of Alabama, Michelle Noel of Arizona and Charles Noel of Wisconsin; three great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Maynard will officiate.
