Edna Earl Smith Davis, 88, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Wayne County Aug. 16, 1923, to the late Joe Smith and Zola Worrell Smith.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the Hill Family Cemetery on East Hill Street, Goldsboro, with the Rev. Danny Hamm and McGee Smith officiating.
Edna is survived by her son, Shelton Davis and wife, Ann; her daughter, Carolyn D. Mooring; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Durwood Smith and wife, Faye; her sisters, Dorothy Holloman and husband, Ray, and Margie Tyner; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Smith and Faye Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Carl Davis; her sisters, Alease Minshew and Ruth Smith; and her brothers, Marvin Smith and Kenneth Smith.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
