LAGRANGE -- James Wendell Yelverton, 50, 407 S. Wooten St., died Thursday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at United American Free Will Baptist Denomination Tabernacle in Kinston. Burial will be in Pinelawn Cemetery.
He was a native of Lenoir County, and the son of James Yelverton and Serail Pridgen Yelverton of LaGrange. He was married to Shirley Tuten Yelverton.
He is survived by four daughters.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lovick Chapel AME Zion Church.
