BEULAH R. HOWELL

Beulah Ruth Howell, 73, of Pate Circle passed away Thursday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Irene Gurganus, and was the wife of Billy Ray Howell for 55 years.
Mrs. Howell was a lover of animals, and had a knack for caring for them. She also had a love for gardening.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ira Williford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, and at other times at the home, 113 Pate Circle, Goldsboro.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Howell is survived by two daughters, Darlene Wiseman and husband, Doug, of Kenly and Carolyn Robards and husband, Stephen, of Greensboro; a son, Billy Howell and wife, Kate, of Rosewood; six sisters; two brothers; eight grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Heidi Allen, Tyler Wiseman, Crystal Haybarker, Victor Haybarker, Hunter Goodwin, Marshall Howell and Samantha Howell; and three great-grandchildren, Ciara Johnson, Bella Johnson and Jaxon Allen.
The family requests that all flowers sent be of the potted variety in order to plant a memorial garden at a later date.
