Luisa Masbad Hamilton, 69, of Dudley died Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a valiant battle with ovarian cancer.
A funeral Mass will be held Monday evening at 7 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Father M. Butch Omana, Chaplain Major U.S.A.F., officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born in Tinang Conception Tarlac, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Melton and Maria Villanueva Masbad and the wife of James Douglas Hamilton of Dudley.
In addition to her husband, Luisa is survived by her son, Phillip Wayne Hamilton, of Round Rock, Texas; her daughter, Maria Luisa Hamilton, of Brasstown; two brothers, Angel and Carlos Masbad, both of the Philippines; and three sisters, Esther Neely of Warner Robins, Ga., Leona Lusong and Betty Retz Marshall, both of the Philippines; two grandchildren, Justin Daniel Hamilton and Kelly Danielle Hamilton of Round Rock, Texas.
