MOUNT OLIVE -- Fannie Britt Jackson, 85, passed away early Tuesday morning at Wayne Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Tyndall Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will follow the service and at other times, the family will be at the Owen Jackson home at 3418 Old Mount Olive Hwy. Committal will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wayne Memorial Park. Pastors Doug Bartlett and Jeff Dail will officiate at
the services.
Mrs. Jackson was a retired homemaker and farm wife, the widow of Ashton Jackson. She worshipped at Salem Advent Christian Church, and more recently at First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Owen and Janet Beavers Jackson of Mount Olive; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Jackson and wife, Shannon, and Laura Jackson Herring and husband, Jason, all of Mount Olive; three great-grandsons, David and Jonathan Jackson and Daniel Herring; two sisters, Edith Costin of Warsaw and Ruth Daniels of Wendell; two brothers, Wellie Britt and wife, Cleo, and Cedric Britt, all of Mount Olive; sisters-in-law, Maxine Britt and Jewel Britt, both of the Mount Olive area, Millie Grey Jackson of Turkey and Lizzie Williams of Calypso; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Livingston Britt and Lillie Mae Capps Britt; and two brothers, Jim Britt and Ruffin Britt.
