Alton William Jones, 76, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Alton was born in Johnston County May 6, 1935, to the late William Jones and Carrie Capps Jones.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Bishop Bryan Rouse presiding.
Alton is survived by his brother, Millard Ray Jones of Nashville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Colon Elizabeth Jones, and his brothers, Robert Lee Jones and Ralph Jones.
