ERNEST "E.C." BISSETTE

PIKEVILLE -- Ernest "E.C." Bissette, 73 , passed away suddenly Friday at Wake Medical Center.
A service to celebrate the life of E.C. will be 7 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Holder, the Rev. Willie Teachey, and the Rev. Cliff Lewin officiating. Entombment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pikeville Cemetery.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Nealy Ernest and Lida Langston Bissette and the widower of Louise Mozingo Bissette. E. C. was retired from T. A. Loving as a project manager with forty years of service.
Surviving are his daughters; Terry Howell and husband, Bobby, of Fremont, Lori Smith and husband, Kenneth, of Fremont, and Wendy Bissette of Goldsboro; son, Bill Bissette and wife, Frances, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Mendi Burnham and husband, Brandon, Jeremy Howell and wife, Amber, Destiney Smith, Matthew Smith and wife, Alex, Ashley Sumerel and husband, Andrew; great-grandaughters, Tara Anne Burnham, Alyssa Howell, and Kyleigh Howell; sister, Ophelia Aycock of Pikeville; brother, Paul Bissette and wife, Edna, of Pikeville; and special friend, Fannie Amos of Goldsboro.
Mr. Bissette was preceded in death in addition to his parents and wife by his grandson, Brent Smith; two sisters and one brother.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Kenneth and Lori Smith, 208 Bath Road, Fremont, NC
