Carol Joan Lewis Arnold, 72, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Hill and Barbara L. Hofsommer officiating. Family members will greet friends today at the Mausoleum immediately following the funeral service and at other times will be at 102 Delia Trail, Goldsboro.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Lewis and Eunice Massey Lewis and wife of the late Ishmael Arnold Jr. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Sherman Hodges Wagner and Gordon Nelson Stafford. She was formerly employed with the Boulevard Beauty Salon and was a Lifetime Member of the VFW Post 2615 and The American Legion Post 11.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by a daughter, Lyn Miller of Goldsboro and her husband, Russell; two sisters, Barbara Lewis Hofsommer and her husband, Kent, of Las Vegas, Nev., Loretta Lewis Grant of Goldsboro; one grandchild, Amanda Hagler and husband, Chris; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Carson and Willow Hagler; a niece, Sally Grant and nephew, Andrew Grant.
