ALBERTSON -- Anita Lee Barton was born Jan. 3, 1957, in Wayne County to the late Lloyd C. and Eva Brown Lee of Mount Olive. Her life on earth ended and eternal life in heaven began as her family said its goodbyes Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Anita worked in the hospice field for many years, and was employed with Carolina East Home Care and Hospice in Kenansville.
She was a member of Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
A humble and loving person and a very dedicated wife, mother and sister, she is survived by her husband, Donnie Franklin "D.F." Barton Jr. of the home; a son, Donnie Franklin Barton II of Albertson; a daughter, Lexie Lee Barton of Albertson; three sisters, Bobbie Lee Williams of Mount Olive, Diana Lee Davis of Clayton and Betsy Lee Hearn and husband, Jim, of Rocky Mount; three brothers and their wives, Rodney and Sally Lee of Kinston, Nick and Sandra Lee of Mount Olive and Chris and Media` Lee of Mount Olive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, followed by visitation. Officiating will be the Rev. Bob Fussell and the Rev. Mark Hobbs. Committal and burial will be Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m. at Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is also receiving friends at the Nick Lee residence, 1695 Red Hill Road, Mount Olive.
