CHARLES EDWARD SPADUZZI

Charles Edward Spaduzzi, 94, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A service to celebrate the life of Charles will be Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Judy Stanley officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
A native of Jonestown, Pa., he was the son of the late Anthony and Edna Mallon Spaduzzi.
Charles retired as president of consumer services in 1977, after 32 years of service with Westinghouse.
He later served as president of Perfection Schwank in Waynesville, Ga.
Charles was an elder for several Presbyterian churches, and was currently a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He was also a member of Golden K Kiwanis Club.
Surviving are his wife, Constance Krus Spaduzzi; daughter, Carolyn Massey and husband, Clinton, of Goldsboro; son, Stephen Spaduzzi and wife, Debra, of Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Paul Jr., Anthony, Michael, Kristen and Dylan Spaduzzi, Heather M. French and Lauren M. Jannik; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Spaduzzi was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Bailey Spaduzzi; sons, Paul Edward Spaduzzi and James Douglas Spaduzzi; and grandson, James Douglas Spaduzzi Jr.
The family requests memorials be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or First Presbyterian Church Mission Fund, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
The family will receive friends today, Aug. 28, 2011, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
