WADE J. BALLANCE

FREMONT -- Wade Junior Ballance, 80, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont with visitation afterward. Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mr. Ballance was born April 25, 1931, in Johnston County to the late Faddie and Lena Sumerlin Ballance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Sedalia Sauls Ballance.
He is survived by three sons, James Edward Ballance and wife, Terrie of Pikeville, Johnny Ballance and wife, Frances of Fremont and Steve Ballance of Pikeville; one brother, Faddie Ballance Jr. of Black Creek; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
