Mrs. Leona Williams Cox, 83, 205A Alpha Arms Court, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C.
She was a longtime and faithful member of Sheepfold Church of Jesus. The late Bishop N. Faison was pastor. Pastor Janet Ward is currently pastor.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Eastern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 N. Carolina St., Goldsboro, N.C., at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery on Martin Luther King Boulevard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and at all other times at 208 N. Harding Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., where it will meet at 11 a.m. to line up for the funeral procession.
She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Bryant, Mable (Rufus) Williams, Mary (Stephen) Perry and Lettie (Thomas) Rowe all of Goldsboro, N.C.; two sons, Dallas Cox and Kenneth "Teddy" (Angie) Kornegay of Raleigh, N.C.; and a brother, Mark Williams of Maryland.
Services are entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro, N.C.
