EDNA J. PIERCE

Edna Jewett Pierce, 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Brian Center.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Adam Seate officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside on Monday following the service.
Edna was born in Pender County on Dec. 14, 1925, to the late Walter McClure Pierce and Mamie Rivenbark Pierce. She worked with Wayne Radiology as a medical assistant for 32 years and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Edna is survived by her sister, Peggy Pierce Futrelle and various nieces, nephews and cousins.
