FAISON -- William Moses Blackman, 72, of 111 Waverly Faison Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Stanley Chapel FWB Church, Mount Olive, with Dr. Kennie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cobbs Cemetery, Faison.
He was the son of the late Homer and Makie Lee Blackman and was born on May 3, 1938, in Wayne County.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Gwendolyn) Aultman of Dudley, Ray Blackman of Goldsboro, Donna (Darion Sr.) Clements, Angela D. Smith and Kimberley F. Fletcher, all of Durham; one sister, Lillie Blackmon of Faison; and seven grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Monday from 3 until 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be present from 5 until 6 p.m. to receive friends, and at other times they will receive friends at the home of Jeffery and Gwendolyn Aultman, 3486 U.S. 117 S. Alt. Dudley.
