WILSON -- Marion Howell, 75, Wilson, died Wednesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a. m. Saturday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, with pastor Ricky Nelms officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at 7036 Gourd Branch Road, Lucama.
Marion was retired from both Swift and Dinner Bell. After his retirement, he enjoyed his employment at Briarcliff Apartments in Wilson.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Howell is survived by a daughter, Patricia H. Batchelor and husband, Phillip, of Lucama; a son, Roger K. Howell and wife, Gwen, of Goldsboro; five granddaughters, Amy B. Bridgers and husband, Billy, Heather E. Batchelor and Meredith B. Batchelor all of Lucama, Amber H. White and husband, Gordon, and Morgan L. Howell all of Goldsboro; a great-granddaughter, Faith N. Bridgers; two great-grandsons, Colton P. Bridgers and Caleb E. White; three brothers, Phillip R. Howell and wife, Valeria, of Smithfield and Jerry W. Howell and wife, Kathy, and Kenneth R. Howell all of Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Colie Howell; infant son, Benjamin M. Howell; parents, Frank Howell and Blanche Moore Howell; and two sisters, Ruth Ballenger and Adean Matthews.
