ASHEBORO — Raymond Eugene “Gene” Crawford, 71, 2378 Glade Road, Asheboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral service will held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Cross Road Baptist Church, 1566 Old Cox Road, Asheboro, with pastor Johnny R. Henderson and the Rev. Greg Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
Mr. Crawford was a native of Wayne County, N.C., and was a 1957 graduate of Seven Springs High School.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Grady Crawford; daughter, Terri Kirkland of Asheboro, N.C.; three grandchildren; sister, Doris Forehand and her husband, Charles, of Pikeville, N.C.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church, and other times at his home.
