Dannie Ruth McDonald Gardner, 72, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, in New Jersey.
Dannie Ruth was born in Cumberland County Dec. 17, 1938, to the late Daniel Franklin McDonald Jr. and Ruth Surles McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thornton Gardner.
Dannie Ruth was a member of Faith Alliance Church.
She always enjoyed her many friendships with members of her bridge clubs, New Neighbor Friends and Red Hat Society.
Dannie Ruth will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister.
The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Ed Shuck officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Dannie Ruth is survived by her daughter, Donna Ruth Gardner Bracewell and husband, Dean, of Morristown, N.J.; her son, Jeffrey Todd Gardner and wife, Martha; her eight grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Joey, Hollyann, Mae, Edy, Sammy and Donovan; and her sisters, Lou Tower and husband, Jack, of Goldsboro and Faye Ruffin and husband, David, of Goldsboro.
