NEWTON GROVE -- Mr. Amos Bellamy, 76, 410 E. Barefoot Road, Newton Grove, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2011, at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 12 noon at White Oak Disciples of Christ Church in Newton Grove, with bishop Charles J. Williams Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bellamy of the home; children, Louise Renee Bellamy Jackson (Shrone) of Valparaiso, Ind., Rudolph Newsome II of Somerset, N.J., Deadral Venice Bellamy Gaterro of Atlanta, Ga., Rhonda Faye Bellamy of Leland, N.C., Amos O'Neal Bellamy (Sharon) of Leland, N.C., and Monica Lynn Bellamy Sanders (Johnny) of Fayetteville, N.C.; sisters, Hattie R. Locus of Piscataway, N.J., Pattie Helen O. Bellamy (Cleve) of Supply, N.C., Lizzie Bellamy (Harvey) of Riegelwood, N.C., eldress Lula Newkirk of Mount Olive, N.C., Virginia Williams (Jerry) of New York, N.Y., and Beulah Cunningham (Jasper) of New York, N.Y.; brother-in-law, retired Senior Master Sgt. Henry Warren (Janice) of Walkersville, Md.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dafford Funeral Home, 707 E. Edgerton St., Dunn, N.C.
