RUTH S. TURNAGE

Ruth Sauls Turnage, 86, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Charles Sauls officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wayne Memorial Park.
Ruth was born in Wayne County on Sept. 8, 1924, to the late Nathan Sauls and Nancy Perry Sauls. She was married to the late Willie Turnage.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Janis Turnage Herring of Goldsboro and Louellen Boedeker of Summerton, S.C.; her sister, Jean Hare of Stantonsburg; her brother, Melvin Sauls of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Turnage was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband, by her brothers, Titus and Johnny Sauls; sister, Gladys Garner; and grandson, Matthew Herring.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the third floor nursing staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital and to the staff at Brian Center, especially Tracy, Courtney and Ms. Gert, for the care shown to Mrs. Ruth.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service.
