BERNICE SAMUEL LANGLEY

PRINCETON -- Bernice Samuel Langley, 94, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Smithfield Manor with his family by his side.
Homegoing services will be held Monday evening, Feb. 21, 2011, at 7 at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Mr. Langley was born July 6, 1916, in Wayne County to the late Willie Bryant Langley Sr. and Nora Bunn Langley. He was the oldest living member of Whitley Church and was a farmer in the Fork Township Community.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Samuel Langley Sr. and wife, Sue, of Princeton and Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Langley and wife, Linda, of Elm City; one brother, Kenneth Langley and wife, Jean, of Clayton; two sisters, Doris Mae Daughtry of Smithfield and Ruby Jean Eatmon and husband, Rayland, of Smithfield; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Louise Braswell Langley; a daughter, Peggy Ann Musgrave; three brothers, Robert Langley, Willie Bryant Langley Jr. and Madrid "Tootie" Langley; and one sister, Hester Lee Waters.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Howell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Charles and Sue Langley, 164 Whitley Church Road.
