MRS. DEAN B. SASSER
June 21, 1930-Jan. 20, 2011
MOUNT OLIVE -- Mrs. Wilma Dean Bradshaw Sasser, 80, Smith Chapel community, passed away Thursday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Steele Sasser Sr.; a son, W. Steele Sasser Jr.; her parents, James Rassie and Martha Raynor Bradshaw; and her brother, Weldon Bradshaw.
Mrs. Sasser is survived by a son, Dr. J. Mark Sasser and wife, Deborah Sasser, of Mount Olive, and four grandchildren, Wade Steele Sasser III, Hunter Clark Sasser, Natalie Ecker and Connor Sasser.
She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, and had worked at Mount Olive Savings and Loan, John Patterson Furniture Co. and as a substitute school teacher with the Wayne County Schools.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leland Heath Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home during the hour before the service, and at other times at the J. Mark Sasser residence.
While flowers are welcome, memorial gifts are suggested to be made to Smith Chapel Methodist Church.
