MASTER SGT. JERRY LAYTON KING

LaGRANGE -- Retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Jerry Layton King, 76, passed away Christmas with his family by his side.
Visitation will be held today from 2 until 4 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Jerry was born in Sampson County on Sept. 15, 1934, to the late Leslie and Lula Harrell King. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene King.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Edna King; two sons, Howard King of Kinston and Donald King and wife, Michelle, of Ayden; one daughter, Jerri Lugene King of LaGrange; one brother, Howard Nelson King and wife, Monika, of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
