JOANN BEST BALL

Joann Best Ball, 70, of Mount Olive passed away Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Sudie Best, and was the wife of Alton Ball. She was a service person for Young's Squire, and had attended Dudley Christian Church.
A graveside service will be held Friday at
2 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive with Pastor Blane Smith officiating. Mrs. Ball will lie in state until the service.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ball is survived by a son, Micheal Ball and fiancée, Gail Peacock of Rosewood; two grandchildren, Elijah Alton Ball and Sierra Peacock Ball; two great grandsons, Zach and Isaiah Ball; two sisters, Janice and Kenneth Duvall of Dudley and Jean and Melvin Newcomb of Jacksonville; a special sister-in- law, Bernice Willington of Mount Olive; and several nieces and nephews.
