GENEVA AYCOCK JONES

PIKEVILLE -- Geneva Aycock Jones, 86, passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Jenny Daniels Aycock, and the widow of Milton Jones. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, and member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 7 p.m. Friday at Seymour Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. David Charles Hansley officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Lancaster Cemetery, intersection of N.C. 111 North and Lancaster Road.
Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer Raper and husband, Timmie, of Pikeville; son, Johnny Jones and wife, Edna, of Goldsboro; a grandson she reared, Chris Jones; sister, Rachel Mooring of Pikeville; grandchildren, Johnny Jones Jr., Jimmy Earl Jones, Renee Raper Parrish and Jessica Raper; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by a son, Jimmy Earl Jones, and a grandson, Timmie Keith Raper II.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
