ALICE PEARL JERNIGAN KENNEDY

KINSTON -- Alice Pearl Jernigan Kennedy, 75, of Kinston, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Dec. 6, 2010.
Mrs. Kennedy was born in Greene County Nov. 14, 1935, to the late John and Lillie Frizzelle Jernigan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, William J. Kennedy; brothers, Douglas and Louis Jernigan; and sister, Paulette Anderson.
She was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Hill and husband, Glenn, of Kinston; sons, Billy Ray Kennedy and wife, Marlene, of Snow Hill and Timothy Kennedy and wife, Sandra, of Kinston; grandchildren, Melissa Elmore, Jeremy Hill, Joshua Kennedy, Justin Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy and Jordan Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Elmore, Nolan Elmore, Lila Elmore and Meredith Kennedy; sister, Clara Moody and husband, Jeff, of Pink Hill; and brothers, Charlie Jernigan and wife, Carol, of Pikeville and Ben Jernigan and wife, Diane, of Lumberton.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with pastor Archie Ratliff and pastor David Paramore officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
