PIKEVILLE -- Billy Ray Smith, 50, passed away Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Strouse officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Eureka Cemetery.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of Matthew Arnold Smith of Pikeville and the late Edna Vandiford Smith.
Surviving in addition to his father is his son, William Anthony Smith and wife, Brittany, of Fort Bragg; granddaughter, Madilynn Irene Smith; and a brother, Mike Smith and wife, Janet, of Pikeville.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home of his father, Matthew Arnold Smith, 217 Bartlett Road, Pikeville.
