CALYPSO -- George Truzy Jr., 74, 107 Odom St., died Monday at home.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hills Chapel Baptist Church in Faison, with the Rev. C.J. Ross officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Sulie Darden Truzy.
He is survived by four sons, minister Nathaniel Truzy and George Truzy of Dudley, Patrick Truzy of Clinton and Earl Truzy of Baltimore, Md.; four daughters, Fannie Mims of Winston-Salem, Patricia Renthrope of Florida and Jennifer Benjamin and Elizabeth K. Bryant of Goldsboro; four brothers, Lewis Truzy, Lane Truzy, Eddie Ray Truzy and James Truzy of Mount Olive; a sister, Benstine Truzy of New York; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home.
