JOHN D. LYNCH JR.
Aug. 22, 1967-July 29, 2010
John Dee Lynch Jr., 42, formerly of Rosewood and Raleigh, passed away Thursday at the home he had recently moved into at 7117 Hector Court in Wendell, N.C. He was born Aug. 22, 1967, in Wayne County to Judy Denning Lynch of Goldsboro and the late John Dee Lynch Sr. He was also the grandson of the late Johnnie Lynch, Hazel Lynch Pickup and George and Pearl Denning. He was a graduate of Rosewood High School and North Carolina State University. John was a big guy with a big smile and a bear hug for friends and family.
A service to celebrate the life of John will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hank Teague officiating. Family members will remain to visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by a brother, George Robert Lynch and wife, Cherise Shipp Lynch, of Raleigh; his Uncle Donald R. Lynch and wife, Sarah, of Goldsboro, Uncle Bobby Denning and wife, Sue, of Mount Olive; cousins, Gwen Denning; Paula Edwards and husband, David; Donna Gainey and husband, Steve; Gary Lynch and wife, Gail; Donna Haggerty and husband, Bill.
