Betty Catherine Johnston, 79, died Tuesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chester McClarin officiating. Family members will remain after the service foir visitation.
Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine Curtis Christianson.
Ms. Johnston is survived by four children.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro is serving the family.
