Rachel Sharon Hawes, 60, of 120 Southwood Drive, died at Sampson Regional Medical Center Thursday.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Moore and the Rev. David Hawes officiating. A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Hawes Family Cemetery in Rose Hill.
Born in 1950 in Duplin County, Miss Hawes was the daughter of the late Carey Truett and Ella Wells Newkirk Hawes.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
