Joseph E. Blue Jr., 79, died Thursday at Johnston Heath Center in Smithfield.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
He was born in Bladen County to the late Joseph and Mamie Williams Blue.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Smith-Blue and two daughters.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
