DOMINICK J. ARTHUR "Dom"

Signifies "Belonging to the Lord;" "Of the Lord;" "Faithful Disciple;" and "Consecrated," age 18, passed away Tuesday morning on May 18, 2010, at his home in Rosamond, Calif. Dom was born Aug. 31, 1991, in Tacoma, Wash., and he is survived by his mother, Katie Lopez, stepfather, Rafael Lopez, and his brother, Dante Arthur, all of the home. Dominick is survived by his father, Trini Arthur, and Aunt Jacqueline Dennis of Washington state, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and various loved ones and friends in North Carolina and Washington states.

Funeral services are provided by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, at 2873 US Hwy. 117 S., with a viewing on Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at The Lord's Table at 1215 Parkway Ave., at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, immediately followed by his resting place at Wayne Memorial Park beside Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Dress is casual attire.

Dominick graduated from Wayne Christian School (WCS) in May 2009. He had completed one year of college at Wayne Community College and was enrolled at Antelope Valley Community College in Lancaster, Calif., for the fall semester, with a major in Liberal Arts to transfer to UCLA for Law.

Dominick was an avid baseball and basketball player at WCS, with intentions of playing collegiate baseball at Antelope Valley Community College. Dom was a member of The Lord's Table under the pastoralship of Bill Wilson and was involved in the Youth Ministry under the leadership of Youth Pastor Ken Jefferson. Dominick enjoyed working with the youth of the church and various other projects.

Dom was employed at Buffalo Wild Wings in California and previously at Andy's Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers on Spence Avenue in Goldsboro.
