William "Bill" Alston Hinton, 79, of 629 Old Hinton Road, Princeton, died Saturday, May 8, 2010.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Lewis officiating. The committal service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Princeton Cemetery.
He was born July 11, 1930, and was the son of the late William Alston and Louise Edwards Hinton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Strickland Hinton.
He was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church and co-president of Durand's Auto Supply.
He is survived by a son, Rick Hinton and wife, Rose, of Princeton; daughter, Debbie Parrish and husband, Gene, of Princeton; brother, Jim Hinton and wife, Barbara, of Princeton; grandchildren, Amy Baumgartner and husband, Jeff, David Parrish, Cindy Parrish Schmidt and husband, Roy, Austin Hinton; great-grandchildren, Reagan Baumgartner, Brett Baumgartner, Kate Baumgartner.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Princeton United Methodist Church or 3HC, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and immediately following the service.
