FREMONT -- Mamie Harris Fields, 91, 308 W. Branch St., slipped into the waiting arms of her waiting Lord Wednesday at Sacred Heart Home, Ministry of Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate in Hyattsville, Md.
The service of triumph and homegoing services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Greater Morning Star Church in Fremont. Burial will be at Fremont Cemetery.
Mrs. Fields is survived by one son, Jesse Fields of Queens, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Cathe Best of Bowie, Md.; two grandsons, Nicholas Fields of Washingtonville, N.Y., and Jerode Boyd of Middleton, N.Y.; a great-grandson, Brandon Hodges of Bronx, N.Y.; three sisters, Emma Jane Fleming of Washington, D.C., evangelist Helen Gorham of Sanford and Elma Delores Harris of Fayetteville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James S., with the family receiving friends there from 6 to 7 p.m.
