ELBERT "AL" HICKS
WILSON -- The funeral service for Elbert "Al" Hicks, 68, 211 W. Kenan St., formerly of Wayne County, will be held Tuesday at noon at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. West in Wilson, with the Rev. Fred Presley officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors.
He is survived by three children, Timothy of Mobile, Ala., Sean (Nicole) of West Guinea, and Danita (Patrick) of Wake Forest; five grandchildren, Sean Jr., Jaron, Kayla, Kordell and Kendell; stepfather, Matthew Newsome of Maryland, a sister, Regina Newsome of Richmond, Va.; two aunts, Mary Hicks of Fremont and Gladys Hicks of Richmond, Va.; and other relatives and friends.
The body may be viewed tonight from 3 to 6 at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Wilson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel in Wilson from 11 a.m. to noon.
