THOMAS R. MARLOW SR.

Thomas R. Marlow, 87, 803 E. Mulberry St., died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with pastor Bill Rose officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Bennett Thomas Marlow and Ellen Kirby Marlow and the husband of the late Maybelle Halstead Marlow.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Retired from General Electric Corp. after more than 30 years, Tom was also an avid bowler.
Mr. Marlow is survived by his children, Thomas R. Marlow Jr., James W. Marlow, Bonnie M. and Jimmy Anderson, Andrew G. Marlow, Rebecca M. Halusek and Christopher T. Marlow; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a special friend, Elizabeth Faircloth.
Family will greet friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.
