BOWIE, Md. -- Joyce Ann Hamilton Dawson passed away Saturday.
The funeral will be Saturday at St. Stephen's Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Pearson St. in Goldsboro, with interment in Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro.
She was the loving mother of Sharonetta Sloan of Bowie, Md., and Dawn Beverly and her husband, Ernest, of Ft. Washington, Md.
She leaves to cherish her memory her dear sisters, Jessie Whitaker and Essie Yelverton both of Goldsboro and Gloria Raynor of Hanover, Md.; beloved grandmother of Dominica, Ernisha and Dione Beverley of Ft. Washington, Md.; uncle, Arnold (Edna) Barnes of Goldsboro; an aunt, Cassie Scurry of Goldsboro; and very devoted family friends, Kenneth Sloan of Laurel, Md., and Carmen Merriweather of Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the home of Essie Yelverton, 914 6th St. in Goldsboro, where they will assemble one hour prior to the service for the funeral procession.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
