SEVEN SPRINGS -- Jimmy Ward, 73, passed away Monday.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Ward Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Bryce Rouse and the Rev. A.G. Smith officiating.
Jimmy was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Wayne County to the late Jack Ward and Adell Goodson Johnson.
Jimmy was a lifelong farmer and attended both Grants Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and Indian Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
Jimmy is survived by a son, Jack Ward of Seven Springs; daughter, Allyson Stainback and husband, Jerry, of Seven Springs; three grandchildren, Jimmy Jackson Ward, Daniel Ward and Aaron Ward; along with the children and grandchildren of the R.E.L. Johnson family.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times they will be at the home of Jack Ward, 309 Jimmy Ward Road in Seven Springs.
