Emma Caroline Powell Shiers died Thursday.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Billy Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ada Powell.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Carol Thompson; special friends, Betty Daniels and Bill Norris; sisters and brothers, Mary Elizabeth Thornton of Clinton, Ada Lynn Britt of Newton Grove, John Edgar Powell of Bentonville and William "Billy" Daniel Powell of Dunn; grandchildren, Melody Swaim and husband, Heath Swaim, Wesley Britt and Cody Britt of the home; special friend of the family, Ginger; and nieces and nephews, Robert and Ann Thornton, Faye Wengert, Lois Hope, Randy Powell, Joey Powell, Keith Powell, Justin Powell, Emily Powell, Beth Stevens, Anna Stanley, Bradley Giddons, Brooke Britt, Chris Thornton, Amanda Burch, Haley Burch, Pat Longino, Nina Thoman and Robert Allen Thornton Jr.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
