THOMAS R. FUTRELL
Died Jan. 28, 2010
NEWTON GROVE -- Thomas R. Futrell, 72, died Thursday.
Funeral will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Newton Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Sandy officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.
He served his country as a medic in the Vietnam war.
He is survived by his sisters, Stella Christensen of Fayetteville, Linda Tart of Clinton, Eva Capps of Lewisburg, Ky., Marie Williams of Smithfield, Mary Sue Tew of Fayetteville and Kathy Futrell of Selma, and his brothers, Perry Futrell of Raleigh, Hubert Futrell of Clayton, Harold Futrell of Selma, Stanley Futrell of Newton Grove, Glenn Futrell of Cary and Charles Futrell of Newton Grove.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Futrell, and brother, Bobby Ray Futrell.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
