Della Mae Rhew went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, surrounded by her family at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held tonight at 7 at Bethel Church, 2304 N. William St. There will be a time of visiting and sharing with the family following the service. Committal will be at family's discretion at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70, west of Goldsboro.
Mrs. Rhew was born in Roanoke, Va., to the late Charles Belvin Ferrell and Lottie Mae Allen Ferrell.
She is survived by her eight children; Becki Deans, Jennifer Medlin (Rick), Danny Rhew (Jackie), Pam Bush (Gary), Van Rhew, Eva Erlich (Steve), Terri Chase (Mike) and Kim Head (Tim). She has 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with her sisters; Marie Tuck and Frances Lunsford.
Mrs. Rhew was preceded in death by her husband Edward Thomas Rhew; granddaughter, Cayla Chase; six brothers; and two sisters.
