SHIELDS BROGDEN

LILLINGTON -- Ray Shields Brogden, 27, native of Mount Olive, died Thursday. He was owner and operator of Andy's Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers in Sanford, Lillington and Angier.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive. The Rev. Hyang Kim and Dr. H. Dennis Draper Jr. will officiate. Interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
Shields is survived by his wife, Ashley Marie Tutor Brogden; his parents, Ray Brogden and Dr. Ellen Brubeck Brogden of Mount Olive; a brother, Matthew Brogden of Wilmington; a sister, Tammy B. Oakes and husband, Bennie, of Hookerton; his maternal grandmother, Eleanor Brubeck of Mount Olive; his parents-in-law, Andy and Donna Tutor of Erwin; a brother-in-law, Kevin Tutor and wife, Whitley, of Erwin; and two nieces, Amber and Ashley Oakes of Hookerton.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive today from 6 until 8 p.m., and at other times they will be at the home of his parents and grandmother at 212 W. Main St. in Mount Olive.
As Shields would always say, "It's all good!" and "Keep your head up!"
