ROBERT "BOB" DICKERSON

Robert "Bob" Thomas Dickerson Jr., 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday while a patient at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Pastors Larry Miller and Barry House will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
He was born in Madisonville, Ky., to the late Robert Thomas and Martha Lutrell Dickerson. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was the proud owner of Dickerson Mobile Home Movers Inc. Bob was the associate pastor and an advocate for the Potters Wheel Ministry in Mount Olive.
Mr. Dickerson is survived by his wife, Linda Kornegay Dickerson; five children, Denise Reardon and husband, Keith, of Clayton, Michael Dickerson and wife, Dee, of Kentucky, Shane Dickerson of Florida, Jerome Dickerson of Kentucky and Neil and Wendy Dickerson of Seven Springs; four siblings, Richard Dickerson of Kentucky, Stevie Dickerson of Kentucky and Tommy Dickerson of Goldsboro, Carolyn Hardin of Arizona; and nine grandchildren.
In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Potters Wheel Ministry, P.O. Box 8, Mound Olive, N.C. 28365.
