ANNIE R.W. THOMPSON

The funeral service for Annie Ruth Wooten Thompson, 700 National Drive, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Best Station community, with elder Ezekiel Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.

Ms. Thompson was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Leamon and Mattie Mae Wooten.

She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital after many years of service.

She is survived by a son, Clarence Thompson Jr. of LaGrange; three daughters, Lillie McKeathen of High Point, Lora P. Hite of Bryans Road, Md., and Betty Thompson of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters; one brother; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home.
