SEVEN SPRINGS -- Robert Larriette Blackburn, 19, departed this earthly life Friday at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Entombment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
He was the loving son of Kim Stewart of Seven Springs and husband, Lance Casey; his father, Robbie Blackburn and wife, Penny, of Seven Springs; he is also survived by two stepbrothers, James Casey and Patrick Casey of Seven Springs; three sisters, Kayla Blackburn of Seven Springs, Lynsey Blackburn of Seven Springs and April Tillman and husband, Michael, of Kinston; maternal grandparents, Billy and Phyllis Stewart of Stokes; paternal grandparents, Robert and Linda Blackburn of Seven Springs; his maternal great-grandparents, Jack and Marie Hart of Goldsboro; aunt and caregiver, Linda Boyle; and his uncles, Donald Hart, Rodney Blackburn and Billy Stewart Jr.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 2906 N.C. 111 South in Seven Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House.
